Spinal Stenosis

Spinal stenosis is narrowing of the spinal canal or openings through which spinal nerves travel.


Common Symptoms

  • Pain

  • Numbness

  • Tingling

  • Weakness

  • Walking or balance difficulties depending on location


Diagnosis

Neurological examination and imaging such as MRI are commonly used to evaluate the location and severity of spinal narrowing.


Treatment

Treatment may include conservative therapy, injections, or surgical decompression depending on symptoms and neurological involvement.
