Radicular Syndrome

Radiculopathy occurs when a spinal nerve root becomes irritated or compressed.


Common Symptoms

  • Radiating pain

  • Numbness

  • Tingling

  • Muscle weakness

  • Changes in reflexes


Diagnosis

Diagnosis may involve neurological examination, spinal imaging, and in selected cases electromyography or nerve conduction studies.


Treatment

Treatment may include medication, physical therapy, injections, or decompression surgery when nerve compression persists.
