Cervical Radiculopathy

Cervical radiculopathy occurs when a nerve root in the neck becomes compressed or irritated.


Common Symptoms

  • Neck pain

  • Radiating shoulder or arm pain

  • Numbness

  • Tingling

  • Weakness


Diagnosis

Diagnosis typically combines neurological examination with imaging such as MRI. Additional nerve testing may be used in selected cases.


Treatment

Treatment may include physical therapy, medication, injections, or surgical decompression when symptoms remain severe or neurological deficits progress.
